All paintball guns hurt the same if they're shooting at the required 300 fps. Which amounts to the equivalent of being popped with a rubber band at about 1-15 feet. Anything closer than this will feel more like a pinch with pliers until it subsides to a throb, and anything past 20 or so feet will hardly even sting. (keep in mind I've been playing for 6 years now so my view on this may be a little distorted.)
It depends on what you are comparing it with.
depends on the field and what maximum FPS they allow
The fps of a paintball gun is usually in-between 300-400
The only fully spring paintball gun, the splatmatic .50, shoots at 190 fps.
You can buy rubber paintballs, they are called Reballs, and any paintball gun can shoot them. The police and militairy also have several specialized or modified guns to shoot them at higher FPS.
if shooting at around 285 fps I would say 150ft max

All paintball gun shoot around the same distance. which is about 100 yards at a 45 degree angle, but around 50 when actually shooting.
All paintball guns are regulated at around 290 fps, the model is irrelevant.
On the model I have, the fps screw is located towards the back of the gun under the bolt
