Actually, UNLV did it in 1990-91 (for the regular season). There stil could be others, I haven't researched it.
Actually UCLA did it at least 4 times: 1963-64, 1966-67, 1971-72, and 1997-73. I say "at least" 4 times since my reference only lists undefeated seasons that include the tournament, so I'm not 100% sure that there were no additional undefeated regular seasons.
Actually, North Carolina did it in 1924 and 1957, winning national championships in both seasons (the '24 one is sometimes disputed due to how it was received...the Helms Foundation at that time voted a team to be the national champion).
These schools finished their Basketball seasons without losing a single game: 1. 1956 San Francisco men(29-0) 2. 1957 North Carolina men(32-0) 3. 1964 UCLA men(30-0) 4. 1972 UCLA men (30-0) 5. 1973 UCLA men (30-0) 6. 1976 Indiana men (32-0) 7. 1986 Texas women (34-0) 8. 1995 Connecticut women (35-0) 9. 1998 Tennessee women (39-0) 10. 2002 Connecticut women (39-0) 11. 2009 Connecticut women (39-0)
Two American professional football teams have had perfect seasons, these were the 1948 Cleveland Browns and the 1972 Miami Dolphins.
There have been over 100 undefeated football teams in NCAA history. The most recent was the 2013 champion, Florida State (14-0).
