It depends upon the rules of the particular competition. For the Premier League Rule 39 states that if for some reason a game does not last the full 90 minutes the Board may determine if the game must be replayed. There is no set time after which a result stands and the Premier League Board have the power to replay or let the result stand as it see fit.
