The accepted way to cork a wood bat is to drill a one inch hole ten inches deep in the barrel of the bat. Then insert Styrofoam or cork. It makes the batter somewhat lighter and changes the center of gravity.

The bat is drilled open at the fat part of the bat and filled with cork, then it is resurfaced with pine and shaved down to look like a regular bat.

Any Baseball player that plans on doing something like that isn't even considered a baseball player. That person is a nobody who only wishes he knew how to play baseball. Maybe a game of Go Fish is more suitable for that kind of trash.

Fill a classic yellow wiffle bat with "Great Stuff" expanding foam. Do this slowly allowing the foam to expand. Next cut the top and bottom off a couple of aluminum tall cans and slit them up the side. Wrap these around the barrel of the bat one over the other and attach them with evenly wrapped electrical tape. You'll be crushing the ball.
