The question should be changed from; can an 11 year old throw that hard but if he should throw that hard? Throwing a fastball 90 MPH puts an enormous amount of stress on the arm. An eleven year old is still growing and this will have an effect on bone growth, and damage ligaments and tendons . If I was a coach of a talented 11 year old that could throw the ball this hard I would hold him back on velocity, and concentrate on control, and learning how to pitch.I agree and some of the best pitchers in the history of the game like greg maddux and tom glavine can barely reach 90. How should a pre-pubescent 11-year old be able to do that.Real AnswerThe answer to the question that was actually asked is no. An 11 year old can't throw that hard.
Between 55 and 75 MPH
220 - 230 cm
NO!!! WHY SHOULD THEY BE??? ITS HARD ENOUGH FOR 10 AND 12 YEAR OLDS TO MAKE IT TO THE PLATE WITH 45 FEET!!!! WHY MAKE IT EVEN HARDER 4 THEM 2 THROW STRIKES??
It has been a hard year for my family and I. Actually, it should be "It has been a hard year for my family and me." The "and" functions as an equals sign (=) in English, meaning that each side of the "and" should function equally. While the first half of the example is fine ("It has been a hard year for my family") the second half does not work ("It has been a hard year for I").
when i was 12 i threw 15.8
Extremely few. If you go on Youtube, a 13 year old threw 93 mph.
An average 7 year old can throw from 30 to 40 mph. A 7 year old that is a freak and stand out and one of the best on the best of team can throw 45 and top out at 50 max.
Not much, I've seen a 12-13 year old throw 65-70, and alot of 14 year olds can probably throw 60, but if you throw like every day or other day, and get on a high school, then college team, you will have a better chance.
86-87 at mlb standards, for kids who want to play in the bigs in the future

12 year olds shouldn't throw curve balls. Too hard on the elbow. Stick to the change up. Palm the ball, use the same arm angle and wait until after puberty for throwing junk. If you can teach him the knuckle ball, that might be useful.
