Well, keep your head in the game. when the ball comes to you, hit it over the net. when you serve, concentrate so it wont go off to the side. this happened and i got really embarrased.
plastic and nylon. some metal where the rope goes through
Yes. Hitting a volleyball with the palm of your hand is called spiking, hitting, or attacking the ball. It is when you do an approach, jump up, and hit the volleyball over the net to the other side of the court.
The size of the court for USA Volleyball and FIVB santioned 13U girls is the same as for all other age groups. The only differnence is the height of the net. The court size is 30 feet by 30 feet on each side of the net. The total size of the court is then 60 feet by 30 feet. 10 feet back from the net is the attack line. Off the top of my head, I think the 13U girls net height is 7 feet and 4 inches.
Then you score a point! Any ball can be played off of the net, you are only penelized when you touch the net or tape (depends of you are playing rec or club).
side out in volleyball means time to take rest. a team can take 3 side outs per set. the time of a side out will be approximately 30 sec...
If you are talking about the dotted line seen continuing off the court, parallel to the net, then that line is an off-court continuation of the 10-foot line. This line is a reference point that many hitters use to judge distance from the net as well as the boundary line that the back row players cannot jump in front of. By continuing this line off the court, it enables player that might be slightly out of the court to avoid penalties or judge distance to the net.
Volleyball is typically played on a rectangular court with a net in the middle. The court is divided into two equal halves, with each team positioned on opposite sides. The game is played indoors or outdoors, depending on the venue.
For women it is 7 feet 4 1/8 inches. For men it is 7 feet 11 5/8 inches
The official volleyball term for this would be a bump. But it is referred to most commonly as a bump. This is the first mvoe made when in serve recieve.
Volley means to keep something off the ground. In volleyball the ball is not allowed to touch the ground. So essentially volleyball "keep the ball off the ground". I hope this helped. :)
