No, in volleyball, you cannot play the ball off the net during a rally.
Then you score a point! Any ball can be played off of the net, you are only penelized when you touch the net or tape (depends of you are playing rec or club).
Volleyball is typically played on a rectangular court with a net in the middle. The court is divided into two equal halves, with each team positioned on opposite sides. The game is played indoors or outdoors, depending on the venue.
volleyball and basketball are different in many ways. in volleyball, you have to keep the ball from hitting the ground. however in basketball, you have to kepp dribbling the ball. in volleyball, you usually stand in one place, but in basketball you continually move going after the ball..etc.
Volley means to keep something off the ground. In volleyball the ball is not allowed to touch the ground. So essentially volleyball "keep the ball off the ground". I hope this helped. :)
Yes. Hitting a volleyball with the palm of your hand is called spiking, hitting, or attacking the ball. It is when you do an approach, jump up, and hit the volleyball over the net to the other side of the court.

The volleyball may touch the net while crossing over it. A volleyball driven into the net may be played within the limits of the 3 team hits, so long as it indeed remains in play (typically: stays in-bounds and off the ground). If the ball rips the net or tears it down the rally must be replayed.

Spanish volleyball is more hardcore, American volleyball is more organized. Both are very competitive. American volleyball is taught based on techniques while Spanish volleyball is more about leaving your heart on the court. Spanish also exercise more than Americans. I've played for both, Spanish and Americans and i loved American volleyball, definitely.Volley means to keep something off the ground. In volleyball the ball is not allowed to touch the ground. If you mean how is volleyball played then this is how. If not then whatever, back off go away, i don't care. OK volleyball has six players on a court and the ball is served over hand or under but over is more traditional to serve over. Then the ball is returned usually by a bump. Then they try to set it up witch is where you bump it to the setter and the setter sets is to the hitter the hitter hits it down over the net. then the cycle goes on until someone lets the ball touch the ground in the designated area. There is of course out of bound lines. The points are you make it you take it. The game is played the best of 5 if you win the first three then you automatically win. But then if the other teams fights back then the best of 5 comes out in victory. You switch sides of the net between every game. That is pretty much how you play volleyball.
