It depends on how fast the game is being played. If you are considering playing Field Hockey, I would not recommend you to, if you were only concerned about how much running is involved rather than the actual play of the game. It also depends on the position. The halves would probably cover 10-11 km, and the backs doing about 7-8 km. The forwards do less distance, maybe 5-6 km, although more of it is sprinting. The goalkeeper does very little distance, about 2 km, but they do very short, very quick movements around the circle. These are averages for a midgrade team, but international players might do more than twice these distances.
In soccer, there is no rule as to how far the ball must travel. The person who starts with the ball could kick it backward, to the person next to them, or down the field.
Dhyan Chand is by far the best field hockey player th@ ever was or will be.

it's basically when you put the stick almost completely underneath the ball but don't put it too far under, and then you flick up the hockey stick up so the ball goes up into the air. i hope this helped you!
No the length of the bat doesn't affect how far the ball goes, its all in your hips and the velocity of the ball.
It's a sport where you try to throw a heavy ball as far as you can (track and Field)
