The game begins with a face off. Two players on opposite teams line up on the center fo the field. The referree places the ball on the center line. The players get down and set on the refs commands. The sticks must have their back sides facing each other, and must be perpendicular with the line as well as the plane of the field. Face offs also take place after every goal.

After a goal, posession is turned over to the team who was scored upon. the ball is placed on the center mark in the middle of the field. The opposing team must remain outside the 10 yard arc until the ball is touched. the ball must move forward before it can be passed backward. Begining of play is signaled by a single whistle blast from the referee.
