I would strongly advise against building your own regulator. Unless you are an experienced and licensed airsmith, you should not attempt to make big fixes with your marker's air system. Let the professionals take care of that. But don't worry, since there are a lot of vendors out there who sell professionally-made and affordable regulators. Try actionvillage.com
Yes, the Shocktech regulator has standard asa top threads and standard macroline bottom threads, which is what the ION uses
The foregrip on the ion is the regulator. First detach the macroline fitting and macroline itself from the bottom of your regulator. Then unscrew your regulator from the body of the gun (Make sure there is no air in the gun). Take your new socktech regulator and screw it in to the body. Then reattach the macroline and fitting to the new regulator.
Just about any regulator with standard threading will work. The threading is the same as any dye, custom products and other manufacturers regulator.
if your tank runs out take it to your locale paintball field thay should fill it up for you for a small fee exp=5$ unlimated air for the day at my field.
the Rat Impulse LTD has: a regulator, The regular Rat Impulse does not.
Yes. You can upgrade the barrel, the feedneck, the board, the regulator, the grips and the ASA.
Paintball is a recreational activity that can build teamwork if you are playing with a team. The objective may vary, but it usually involves in tagging members of the opposing team with washable paint in a gelatin shell (also known as paintballs) using a paintball marker that launches them at a fairly high velocity (but not enough to cause injury).
To put a dynast paintball gun together, you need an Ion XE and a dynasty body kit. Unscrew the screws to the body and side out the cover of the bolt and regulator. Replace this with the Dynast Body kit and you are finished.
yes it does. The E-grip does not change the regulator, or the ASA. Therefore it will fire both with CO2 and High Pressure.
NO! only compressed air in a high end marker. otherwise you run the risk of freezing the regulator and solenoid which equals repairs. NO CO2!

the ASA (air source adaptor) can typically be swapped out for a aftermarket one, there are a few markers out there that the ASA is also the regulator for the marker and these can not be changed out typically
