I am not sure but i think that many of them will not play college soccer for most just play at that age for something to entertain themselves with
Its called a walk-on. It means they didnt get recruited for an athletic scholarship, instead they went to the teams open tryouts, mini camp or combine.
Play on a strong college team and hopefully get scouted. Or have connections.
