Yes, the 98, 98c, carver one, alpha black, project salvo all use 98 threaded barrels.
Why is alpha black rail discontinued?
The alpha black still has the built on rail. The Project Salvo does not have a handrail.

For the price, you are really just getting an alpha black with a stock and shroud for $50 dollars more. I would just buy the alpha black with fully automatic Egrip, which the salvo does not have, and save $10.

Yes, it uses the US Army (alpha black) e-grip.

The sierra one is the Canadian version of the Project salvo, which is the higher end version of the alpha black. If you want to save money for slightly better looks, get the alpha black.
What barrels are compatible with the US Army project salvo paintball marker?
On the ends of every barrel there are "threads" These are different for every series of guns. The Salvo marker has Tippmann threads therefore any Tippmann barrels can be use. Smart Parts also makes barrels for Tippmann markers. Actually the Project Salvo is a Tippmann 98 with a different body. It uses Tippmann 98 threads and any barrels that fits the 98 will fit the Salvo. The Salvo can use a A5 barrel if you add a 'A5 to 98′ adapter to convert the threads to the 98 style for your Salvo.

It will only fit the X7 and the A5. You can buy a model 98 version which will work with the 98 series, alpha black, project salvo and carver one.
What stock fits the Carver one gun?
Any stock built for the Tippmann 98 series, including the project salvo, alpha black and the non Tippmann BT4. A5/x7 ans spyder mr stocks will not fit.
