Besides a few bold moves by the Saints (such as the 2 point convertion in the 4th quarter, ot the initial kick at the beginning of the 3rd), the interception in the fourth quarter secured the Saints a 14 point lead, which made it nearly impossible for the Colts to tie the game, even if they had been able to make the touch-down in the final minute of the game. It is also worth noting the precition of the kicker, Garrett Hartley, being able to score 3 field goals over 40 yards and, of course, Drew Brees' accuracy in pass completions.
