I did that during a neighborhood pick-up game when I was a kid, but we were using a really old ball and the stitching was already half gone. Hey, it was the only ball we had! But I've never heard of it happening in an organized game, MLB down to Tee-Ball.
Because then no-one would easily get the ball and the batter could run all the way round or what ever they have to do. Obviously!
It's a ball.
The player who catches the ball in baseball when it is hit by a batter is typically an outfielder or an infielder.
Batter hit the ball into the outfield.
If the baseball hit the ground in foul territory, the ball is a foul ball. If the baseball hit the ground in fair territory, and the batter/runner is still in the batter's box when the baseball hits him, it is a foul ball. If the baseball hit the ground in fair territory and the batter/runner is out of the batter's box when the baseball hits him, the batter/runner is out and the ball is dead.
If the batter attempts to hit the ball and misses, it is a strike. If the batter does not attempt to hit the ball and the ball enters the strike zone, it is a strike. If the batter does not attempt to hit the ball and the ball does not enter the strike zone, it is a ball (unless it hits the batter, then the batter is awarded 1st base).
"The next batter will probably hit the ball out of the park." verb phrase: "will ( ) hit" modifier: "probably"
It Is Fair As Long As The Batter Swings And They Hit The Ball... As Long As It Is Inside The Foul Lines The Ball Is In Play.
No when the batter gets hit by the ball it is called and walk and the batter gets to go to first base
Ball's dead and runners can't advance.
Yes. The only time it would not be live is if the batter, when swinging, hit the ball with his/her hands it would be a dead ball.
It is a dead ball and the batter is awarded first base and is ruled a hit by pitch
