A championship ring given to the players and staff of the Stanley Cup winning team.
Don Cherry doesn't have a Stanley Cup ring. He lost to the Montreal Canadiens in both of his appearances in the Stanley Cup Finals (1977 and 1978) as coach of the Boston Bruins.

There are five rings on the Stanley Cup. If a ring becomes full (13 teams engraved), a new ring is added to the bottom and the top ring is taken off; to keep the Cup at a constant size. A team's lineup will remain on the Stanley Cup for at least 53 years (65 in some cases). Once a ring of teams is removed, it is placed inside the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.

Bruins!
The names of all the players on the team, coaches, and management grace the surface of the Stanley Cup. When more space is needed another ring is added to the bottom of the cup. It takes 13 years for a ring to be completely filled. Once this happens they remove a upper ring and put it on display in the NHL Hall of Fame.
