Of course you can! When I was groing up it was only my brother and me so we created 2-man Baseball. Here are the fundamentals.

1. One pitches and the other bats (no running bases at all).

2. All runners are "ghost runners"

3. 3 strikes is still an out.

4. If the ball is hit and the pitcher catches the ball clean before the pitchers mound it is an out.

5. If a ball is caught in the air it is still an out.

6. Passed the pitchers mound (or location) the players determine 3 more distance markers. Each marker determines whether the hit is a double, triple or homerun.

7. In order to hit a homerun, the ball has to land in the air passed the home run line (not rolling passed....pretend it is a fence) Or you can use an actual fence.

8. Ghost runners can only advance via a force. So if you have a ghost runner on second base and hit a double, you now have a runner on second base and the other runner advances by force to third.

9. You still have 3 outs per half inning.

This is basically a hitter verse pitcher game. So the object is to always strike out your opponent or cleanly field the ball.

This can be played with a wiffle ball and bat, a tennis ball and large dowel rod (they fly far) or my favorite a wiffle ball bat and what I call the aluminum ball of pain.

In order to create this ball...take a small wad of alluminum foil and wad it up as tight as possible into a small ball. Then take electrical tape and wrap it until you get the size of ball you want.

What is nice about this ball is that it flys as fast as a regular baseball, can be hit really far, has some weight and stings really bad if you get hit. So it is safer than a baseball, will not break windows, but still fun to play as teenage boys.

Hopefully this is a decent answer!
