If every person who could possibly manage was ejected, it could happen. Cubs shortstop Ernie Banks did it. A number of coaches, and the manager where ejected, so he became manager since he was a team leader. But if Ozzie Guillen wanted to play in a game for his Miami Marlins, he could not since he is not on the roster of active team players.
