They rank 1st, causing a significant number of false starts more than the 2nd place Vikings who play in the Metrodome. During the 2005 regular season, the 12th Man caused 24 false starts while the Seahawks went 8-0 at home and 10-0 overall after the playoffs. The 2005 NFC Championship Game against the Carolina Panthers was recorded at 137 decibals, 17 decibals louder than a jet engine. Panther's QB Jake Delhomme said that the crowd noise not only made things difficult, they made it miserable.

That is incorrect: The Fox Sports telecast producers measured the crowd noise level at a peak of 137 dB during Seattle's 34-14 win
