Yes! though it is not reccomended. Speedball guns are usually faster and lighter then your normal woodsball gun. But ive seen plenty of guys dominate with a Tippmann.
for woodsball yes its a good gun but not so much for speedball
there are no hoppers that are just for speedball or just for woodsball, as long as it has a standard neck like 99% of hoppers out there do, yes it will work
Sometimes paintball is know as a specific type of game, such as woodsball or speedball.
Speedball bunkers are made from a thick, flexible, inflatable plastic. Woodsball bunkers could be anything from plywood to piping.
In speedball it is called the "deadbox" it is on both sides of the field, and resembles a field hockey goal. In woodsball the starting point can be anywhere.
If you got a new barrel or learned to adjust for the curve while shooting, it would make an excellent woods ball gun as a front player (sometimes called "dagger" on other sites), which use "speedball" guns anyway. If you dont play very aggressively, however you should get another gun for woodsball. The best Woodsball gun for the price is the SP1 with black heart board and an apex barrel.
It depends on what you are going to use it for... If you are going to play more speedball, get the sonix... If you are going to play more woodsball, get the MR1.
There is no difference between equipment for speedball or woodsball, all barrels will give you the same useable range and will shoot paint at around 280fps. If you are just looking for a good barrel I suggest the J&J ceramic 1-piece or CP 1-piece barrels, both are around $35 USD and will give you improvement over a stock barrel. Anything from 12"-16" is personal preference, longer barrels beyond 16" are just added weight for no reason and barrels shorter than 12" get louder and less efficient but between 12 and 16 there is no noticeable difference in performance.
Firstly, this depends on what kind of paintball you play, and what kind of gun you want to get. Most speedball companies do not make scenario markers, and most woodsball companies do not have excellent speedball guns. Even in Speedball, a poppet vs spool valved marker would change the order of best companies a lot However, There is a general consensus that there are around 5 companies that provide the Markers for the professionals, and in no particular order they are: Planet Eclipse Dye Luxe Bob Long Angel Some of the top Scenario/ woodsball marker companies are: Rap4 BT Tippmann
It depends what game you play (speedball, woodsball), what your position is (front, mid, back) , how often you play, and how much are you willing to pay for accessories to go with it (loader, tank, paint).
Starter: Tipmann, Spyder, GoG, or invert. Intermediate: Dangerous Power, Planet Eclipse, WGP, azodin Pro: DLX, Dye,Bob Long, and some Dangerous Power. The best for pro is Bob Long Intermediate best is a tie between Planet Eclipse and Dangerous Power Starter best is invert.
