That is when two teams play two games on the same day.

Some years ago, teams would play several double headers a year. There would be a 20-30 minute break between games. You bought one ticket and were able to watch two games. Many would be on Sunday and it would be a great time for a family to spend a day at the ballpark watching Baseball. Some would be what was called 'twinight' double headers. The first game would start around 5 o'clock or so, there would be a 20-30 minute break between games, and the second game would end late in the evening.

Today, teams don't do that any more. If there is a double header, it is usually what is called a 'day-night' double header. This is when a game is played starting around 11 AM or noon. After the game, the park empties and the second game starts at the usual time a night game starts. If you want to watch both games, you must buy two tickets.
