Wrong. A player can also reach first base by fielder's choice. There are actually 12 ways for a batter to reach first base. They are listed in Rules 6.08 and 6.09 of the Official Baseball Rules. Many of those listed in Rule 6.09 involve base hits, so if Hits is one way, there are really only 7 ways to reach first: 1. Base hit, including home runs, ground rule doubles, etc. 2. Base on Balls 3. Hit by pitched ball 4. Fielder's error 5. Fielder's interferrance (including catcher interferrance) 6. Strike out followed by passed ball or wild pitch 7. Batted ball that passes a fielder and hits an Umpire.
Without actually hitting the ball:
1. Walk
2. Intentional walk
3. Balk
4. Third strike, dropped ball
5. Hit by pitch
6. Pinch-runner
7. Base runner on first base at time game is delayed is traded before play resumes; baserunner is subbed in when game resumes
8. Failure to pitch within 20 seconds
9. Four illegal pitches
10. Fielder obstruction*
11. Error*
Hitting the ball, but not having it scored as a hit:
1. Catcher interference
2. Fielder interference
3. Fan interference
4. Fan obstruction
5. Fielder obstruction*
6. Fielder's choice
7. Baserunner called out on appeal
8. Error*
9. Fair ball hits ump
10. Fair ball hits baserunner
Hitting the ball; scored as a hit:
1. Single
2. Dropped sacrifice fly (different than error--dropped sac fly is intentional)
3. Sacrifice bunt fails to advance baserunner
4. Preceding baserunner put out
*Batter can reach first base after dropped 3rd strike on error (catcher overthrows first base) or if obstructed by a fielder (pitcher gets in the way of the baserunner). Batter can also reach first base after hitting the ball if fielder commits error (fielder overthrows first base) or if obstructed by a fielder (pitcher gets in the way of the baserunner).
There are several different ways to get to first base. One is if you hit the ball and make it safely to first without getting tagged or thrown out. Another way is being walked. This means the pitcher throws you 4 balls. In some leagues, if you strike out and the catcher drops the third strike, you can also run to first. This can only happen when there is no one on first base. The catcher can tag you or throw you out.

In baseball there are many ways in which a triple play can be performed. If bases are loaded and the third baseman stops a ground ball, tags his base, throws the ball to second base, and the second baseman throws the ball to first base, that would be one example of a triple play.

1. A Base Hit 2. An Error 3. A Walk (Intentional or not) 4. A HBP 5. Catchers Interference 6. Fielders Choice 7. Dropped Third Strike
it takes 4 balls. but if your on base 2 other ways is if your on base someone can get 4 balls and you get another free base or if your on base you can get a free base by a bulk
nine ways from sunday=nine ways till sunday=seven days till sunday=completely
many ways
steal Hit batter double balk walk walk then run to second
Do the math by using pythagoream therom. make a triangle using homeplate first base and second base with the bases being 90 ft apart. the distance from home plate to 2nd base comes out to 127ft 4in.
1. Base on balls 2. Base hit 3. Fielder's choice (the batter hits the ball and the fielder throws to another base, not 1st base, to get an out.) 4. Hit by pitch 5. Error by a fielder 6. Dropped third strike and the batter beats the throw to first 7. Catcher's interference
When the defensive team in baseball, gets two players out in one play, it is called a double play. This usually occurs when the ball is hit between the second and third base. The short stop between the second and third base throws the ball to the second baseman, who gets the runner from first base out. Then the second baseman throws the ball to the first baseman, who gets the hitter out. There are other ways that a double play can occur, however, this is the most common way.
There four ways that a player can get out. 1. Strikeout 2. A player catches a ball that the batter hits 3. The base is taged that the player is running to. (This is only an out if there is someone running to the base they left.) 4. They are tagged by someone who is holding the ball.
