To do this you would use Pathagreon's Theory. 602 + 602 = (square root of) 7200 = ~84.85 feet. This represents that straight line between the bases. It measure from the tip of one bag to the tip of the other bag.

∙ 15y ago127.28 Feet. Basically 90 feet * the sqare root of 2 can be used to calculate the answer which is simply figuring out the hypotenuse of a triangle if you know the other two side lengths.

On a frozen rope from third to first base is 127 feet 3 and 3/8 inches.
The distance between first base and second base is 90 feet.

A base line is 90 feet long, so (since you have to go around third to get home from second) the total distance is 270 feet.
In little league, where the bases are 60 feet apart, the distance between first base and third base is 84.85 feet. In MLB and leagues where the bases are 90 feet apart, the distance between first base and third base is 127.29 feet.
It makes no difference, they can go as far as they want to.
Third base in the "Who's on First" skit is played by "I don't know."
