HPA -- High Pressure Air. Compressed nitrogen/air that is used to power a paintball gun. HPA tanks are more expensive than CO2 tanks, but HPA is more consistent and does not damage your marker. HPA is an essential for high end electronic guns.
CO2 -- Compressed Carbon Dioxide that is used to power a paintball gun. CO2 tanks are much, much cheaper than HPA tanks, but are also more hazardous to use on electronic guns. CO2 has a nasty habit of suddenly turning into a liquid, especially when it is cold outside.
When CO2 turns into a liquid it can have negative effects on velocity and accuracy. Also, for this reason, CO2 is dangerous to use on an electric gun because if liquid CO2 gets into the gun's internal parts it can damage the marker's electrical components permanently.
In short--HPA tanks are expensive but more consistent, and necessary for expensive electronic guns. CO2 is cheap but can have unpleasant side effects, so it should only be used on lower end guns.
Yes, any pressure or HPA tank on an FEP quest will work. It can not run on Co2.
any Co2 tank and high pressure HPA tanks.
a HPA tank, every marker currently produced (and every marker that has been produced for a LONG time) that will work on CO2 will also be fine on HPA. the output pressure of a standard high pressure HPA tank is around 750-800 psi, and the output on your co2 tank is right around 800 so it is a direct swap, id recomend getting a 68/4500 HPA tank, it will give you about the same amount of shots as a 20oz CO2
Spyder Sonix can use any Co2 or HPA tank
If you are not trained on filling Co2 tanks (unlike HPA tanks) you should not attempt this, on risk of breaking the burst disks, or freezing your hand. An HPA tank however, you can simply hook up and fill.
Do you mean a Co2 tank, or a carbon fiber HPA tank. Either Way you simply screw in onto the back.
You probably could fill it, but not to pressures needed for paintball gun operation, CO2 tanks should not be filled with any gas or liquid besides CO2. edit: you could use Argon in a HPA tank but not a CO2 tank
Yes, but it is highly recommended that you use HPA instead. CO2 with this marker may cause re-cocking issues as well a pressure spikes. It will defiantly cause a decrease in pressure consistency. It is recommended, if you need to run CO2, that you use an anti-siphon tank or a vertical tank with remote line to decrease liquid intake.
Yes, it can use any tank with a valve.
HPA tank stands for High Pressure Air and is a 3500 to 5000 psi canister for paintball made of steel or carbon fiber. It is an alternative to CO2 tanks, and is also called: Nitrogen tank, nitro or air tank.
Yes, except for some stock class pump markers and pistols. They use 12 gram disposable CO2 canisters. Even thought the tank will fit, most high end electric guns will malfunction if they are not run on High Pressure Air.
No you do not.
