If you are talking about wheels to a deck, use trucks.
Watch skate promotional videos, or look up pro skaters and see who they are endorsed by and which boards/wheels/trucks they use.
Wear/use the sponsors clothes/shoes/decks/trucks/wheels/etc. when you skate and try to get some photographs of yourself wearing/using said items published in a skateboard magazine and your sponsor will be very happy.
It depends. Without going into too much detail, all trucks are essentially the same, aside from length. If a truck is too short for a board, the wheel will hit the deck and cause wheel-bite. Wheel-bite can stop your board entirely when making a turn, potentially causing injury. If you can't afford to purchase longer trucks, buy some risers. Risers go in-between the deck and the truck to lift the deck and prevent wheel-bite. Just make sure that you purchase corresponding hardware to accommodate your new risers. Good luck.
It is a bad idea to ripstick and skateboard wheels are very different but i don't know if it would work but it probably wouldn't.
yes , no problem. As long as there is sufficient wheel clearance so as not to get wheel bite. -- The above is correct and if you get any wheel rub from the longboard wheels use a pair of riser pads on your trucks with extended 1" hardware(if needed). It's a cool look on the flats. - VooDoo 13 -
you can use one but you can buy skateboard tools easily which are also easier to use
A wheelbarrow uses wheels.
You'll need these parts to assemble a skateboard: (1) Deck(board) (2) trucks(axel the wheels attach to) *optinal but reccomended: (2) riser pads(fit between the trucks and deck) (8) 1" bolts w/ nuts to attach the trucks to the deck (4) wheels (8) wheel bearings with (4) bearing spacers (1) sheet of Grip tape ( covers the top of the deak with the no slip sand paper) ~ HELMET AND PADS FOR BEGINNERS !!! ~ - VooDoo 13 -
if regular you use right arm and grab board anywhere between the trucks
You push with your back foot. An ollie is done by pretty much jumping, but it's like a lay up in basketball. You jump with your back leg. then after you learned the ollie, you flick your foot and do different moves to do different tricks. The skateboard works by being a strong, yet durable piece of wood that is easy to ride on if you get one from a professional skateshop. The trucks are responsible for holding the wheels in place while at the same time being turnable, so that's how you move your board. if you want to turn left, for example, what you do is lean to your left. The wheels, well, i think you know what those do
On turns, you use leaning to control it. The trucks allow this. The rubber things inside them regulate the turn.
