It is one of the few alternative energy solutions that shows great promise. There are virtually no dangerous aspects to wave power outside of the known dangers of handling any source of power.

Unlike solar and wind, wave power is consistent and always available, making this form of alternative energy a logical choice to develop further.

There has been some question as to how it could affect marine life and that if we create enough power of waves or tidal, we could affect the oration of the planet. The vast amount of energy we would need to consume though, to make this event occur, is so great the issue appears pointless.
