Her ballet shoes were flat shoes with a leather pointed toe. Anna Pavlova didn't actually invent the pointe shoe but she did add the leather sole to it to support her high arch. She is credited for making what is most similar to today's modern pointe shoe. I think at one time of her life she wore Capezios... not sure though.
