It depends. If you are talking about pointe shoes, Grishkos are a good brand because they are thin, slender, and they make your feet look skinny and long (which is pretty good (: ). Capezios are used mainly for people with shorter, wider toes, but I wear them and I have skinny and normal-sized toes. If you are talking about normal, flat Ballet shoes, then I have nothing much to say. There are MANY brands of flats, and I wear Angelo Luzios, but Blochs or other kinds might be just as well.

Ballet dancer wear toe shoes, they have blocks of wood inside. The blocks help you to stand on the tip of your shoes.
Dancers who dance en Pointe they wear shoes that are so tight that they're feet have hardly any room to move. Then they push themselves up onto the end, the toes are on the very tips, but can sometimes be curled under. It depends on how the dancer prefers to wear their shoes.
Don't mean to scare to you but if you wear ballet shoes a lot then your feet will become all blistery and cuts will form.
Not really because MOST likely, you'll be able to see the line (seam) , where the toes actually are.
Pointe shoes (aka toe shoes) are shoes that we ballerinas wear to enhance our performance. Contrary to popular opinion, Pointe shoes are not made out of wood, but of paper mache. The shoes give the illusion that we are on our toes, while in reality the shoes are supporting our weight and our toes are being cushioned by padding.Pointe shoes are not comfortable, though, and many blisters, bunions, and foot injuries come from dancing "en Pointe." To be able to dance on Pointe you must have had several years of dance and very strong ankles.
