If you're just starting, it's very normal to have a weird pattern but if not, I don't think it is. The flow can be abnormal for about a year or so. I didn't have normal periods until the end of my senior year in high school. If you are a Ballet dancer it is the amount of physical activity that you are doing that is making your period not regular. Although it is normal for ballet dancers to not have a normal period it is not good for your body, if you want to have kids some day. If this continues until your late teens, I would suggest to consult a gynocologist.
