It depends on the sport. It's not very physically demanding to play Golf, but you better believe your sweet patootie that Boxing requires immense physical demand. Many of the traditional Olympic sports are very, very physical and require many years of training just to do a few things. One could certainly learn and perfect more dance moves in less time than it takes to learn and perfect one gymnastic move.
