There are way to many to count. You have to remember that Ballet is as much an art as it is a sport, which makes it so hard. If you were to do just the steps in a row it would be boring and look horrible. So often times teachers make up steps to enhance turn out or work on something that you're not good at and choreographers make up steps to link steps and also to fit the mood of the piece.
