In the 1800's through the early 1900's Ballet has been a legacy. Going to famous ballets was like going to the movie theater today except much more luxurious. The beautiful music and hardworking, mesmorizing dancers could lull anyone into a dreamy trance. This was the "thing" at that age. It was like facebook. Everyone dreamed of going to ballets and seeing the perfomers. Unfortuneately our cutlure has now turned to dirty rap videos and pop sensations while ballet has faded. In particular studios (mine for example) we still carry this legacy because we're aware of the decline in the popularity of classical ballet. Our motive is to inspire and reteach the public of how Balanchine, Cecchetti, and so many other amazingly famous choreographers lulled our culture in to the era of elegant, classical ballet.
