That is entirely false. Sports show not only the physical fitness of someone but also the mental strategy and toughness. To say sports are overrated is like saying that sleep is overrated. People who don't play sports or that aren't good at them, probably like you, say that to get peoples attention. Don't judge all sports either. There is one out there for you somewhere.
As much as I love playing sports, I must say that I have to partially agree with this statement. Every now and then I will be playing Basketball or watching football on TV and I can't help but wonder why we started making a such a big deal out of sports. I mean, yes, they are a lot of fun to play and watch, but why do we pay professional players many times the amount of the President of the United States to throw a ball into a hoop or knock another person down?
