Generating power in discus throwing involves rotating the body while transferring weight from the back foot to the front foot in a smooth and coordinated motion. This generates torque which is then transferred through the arms and into the discus upon release. Additionally, the athlete must engage core muscles, legs, and shoulder muscles to create power in the throw.

In order for your throw to be legal, you must stay within the lines of the pit (the circle where you throw the discus), and the discus must land within two given lines chalked out on the field. In some American high schools, you must also follow other league rules such as entering & exiting through the back of the pit, removing all jewelry before entering the pit, tucking in your shirt, etc.
Vols are Voluntary dives, if you are a senior then you must do a front dive, back dive, and an inward dive. If you are an Intermediate that you must do a front, back and inward dive, If you are a junior you must do a front and back dive. If you are a freshman then you must do a front and back dive. Detailed rules differ by state, but here are some general rules. The thrower is forbidden from stepping out of the circle until the official gives him clearance. Some areas allow the thrower to step ON the line as long as he is not OVER the line, but in many areas stepping on the line disqualifies the thrower. The discus must land within the two lines that form the throwing sector. If it lands outside of the line, it is called a scratch-aka it doesn't count. This is another area where the rules change depending on where you are- in some places the throw will count if the disc lands on the line; in other places that throw would be a scratch.
You have to stagger your feet about shoulder with apart. Then you have to keep your feet still and don't let the disc touch your hand. That is when you throw your arm back and then forward and let it launch off your front fingers.
You have to get far back on your board, you leave the front foot at a slight angle (around 45 degrees), then step your back foot in front (you will need practice, it might be hard to balance at first). then pop your front foot back into the front position. When you improve, do it carving.
