Hey I run track - in meets I run the mile and 800m. Here are some good times for different age groups
10-11 -- anything under 4 mins
12-13 -- anything under 3:30
14-15 -- anything under 3 mins
I hope this helped! :) An average time for someone to run 10-11yrs to run the 800m is anywhere between 5-4 mins, if you're under 4 you're really good :)
I think 4:00-4:30 is an average 800m time for this age. I'm 11 and run track and xc and can run an 800m in about 3:00. So I think for a runner 10-11 an average time would be anywhere from a little under 4 to around 3:15. Hope this helps!
I am 10 years and I run 2:44 ! I just competed in regionals a 2:44 was good enough for bronze and to advance to Nationals Junior Olympics.
if your a good runner you should be around 2:00 im 14 ran a 2:15 but that's just meeeeeeee
Yeah i think its really good. I'm a 13 year old girl and my personal best for the 800m is 2.50.
1011
Yes. It's not elite, but it's not bad.
he was born around 1011
The average 60 year old, is over weight and can not run a mile, they would have to walk. However Paul Flecther Masters Athlete and coach can run the mile in 5.00min. He is the current 800m, 1500m and 10000m European Champion 2019.
if you are the average runner you should work hared to get your time around 2:20 and below. This doesn't only pertain to a 15 yr old but anyone in HS. If you really want to be good then you should try to run a 2:10 and below. But the best times are usually 2:02 and below. i am a freshman and i run 400m in about high 57 and 800 in 2:15 and the mile in 5:10.
well the person that came first
Depends on the distance, for 800m as a ten year old I can run 2:29 as a PB.
Good time for average 16 year old boy: 12.5s Average time for average 16 year old boy: 13s Average time for a good 16 year old boy: 11.5s Good time for a good 16 year old boy 11s
a great time for a 12 year old boy would be anywhere 2:40 and 2:30 and for a 12 year old girl probably around 3:15 to 3:00 would be a great time
3-4 minutes give or take. I'm not sure how old this question (and the answers are) but the info isn't at all accurate. From someone who is in the middle of the junior olympic circuit for track, and the father of a 10 year old girl who runs the 800m, I can offer some accuracy here. First off, when you ask what's a good 800m time, I would start with what's good in elementary school meets around the country. In those races, a 3 minute 800m will generally win the race. When you compete regionally and nationally among the fastest 10 year old girls in the country, a 3 minute 800m isn't competitive. In those races, you'll see the very fastest 10 year old girls running 2:30. It should be noted that there are very few of these girls. Then between 2:35 and 2:40 are the next tier of runners. These girls are extremely fast, and arguably elite runners, but they're just a few seconds behind the truly fastest. So a 3 minute 800m is quite good, but it's really relative to the level you want to compare it to.
