Greenland is a constitutional country of the Kingdom of Denmark, and is therefore not in the Olympics has no national Olympic committee but has applied for one so they will most probably be in the 2016 Olympics.

Iceland's first participation in the Olympics came at the 1908 Games in London. They have regularly sent a team to compete since 1936. Iceland has won four Olympic medals:

1) Vilhjálmur Einarsson - silver in men's triple jump at the 1956 Summer Games in Melbourne.

2) Bjarni Friðriksson - bronze in men's half-heavyweight judo at the 1984 Summer Games in Los Angeles.

3) Vala Flosadóttir - bronze in women's pole vault at the 2000 Summer Games in Sydney.

4) Men's handball team - bronze at the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing.
