There's no fun in playing it safe. Why not try something a little unhinged?

Anyone can begin a new sport or activity at any age. Gymastics may be a little more advanced, however, than others, for it requires specific skills that your body needs time to adapt to and build on. I would advise you to be very interested and serious in this activity before beginning, and maybe signing up for a few beginner classes to see if it is something you are really interested in persuing.

You should take a beginner class or try-out for the team.. The coach and/or teacher will decide what level you should be in.

Sure! You probably won't be able to win medals, but you can enjoy the Heath benefits and the fun of gymnastics. Some adults do gymnastics too; one man started when he was 45!

No, the age requirement is that you must turn 16 by the end of the Olympic year.

14 is a good age. Although you would have to assume the other teens in her class have had years of experience and might feel discouraged and quit.
