There are tons across America probably 100s of thousands and there are local swim teams everywhere. Even more commonly people join local swim teams everywhere.

Bangkok Patana School has a strong seniors swim team (Patana Tigersharks) and U13, U15, JV and Varsity Teams for basketball, softball and volleyball. NIST Thailand has strong swim teams as well. And also strong Softball and Basketball teams. These are the top 2 recommended schools.
If you are refering to collegiate-level teams, there are many. But two of the most prominant are the University of Michigan Wolverines and the Michigan State Spartans.
Some high school swim teams have a tradition of requiring athletes to shave their legs, arms, and underarms before competitions. This practice is believed to reduce drag in the water and improve performance, but it is not a rule enforced by all swim teams.
It depends on what kind of swim team you're referring to. If it's a team for a high school, I would talk to the athletics coordinator or even the principal.
