I have a cousin that shot a deer at 112 yards with his bow and that is the longest I have heard of. Generally, Archery shots are 60 yards and under for the average hunter. Not sure about target shooters.
and to add
i know for a fact and with one witness my dad shot a mule deer at 80 yrds that was on a run! so for the farthest shot who knows but you can if you are good make long range shots with a bow this was done with a browning black night compound bow 65 lbs pull. if you remember the type in the Rambo movie? this is that bow i got one and he got one as they was on sale and cheap in the 80's ! since we are just simple plain old lumberjacks the high dollar bows was not an option for us back then lol! back then it cost like $225 new in the box and the old wasp lock ring razor broadhead. neck shot and it dropped in its tracks.....
