You cannot get specific odds from such a broad question. The arrow's/bolt's thickness, the shot consistency of the archer, the raw power of the bow and the projectile's genera quality will help make splitting an arrow more likely.
The arrow will go far as 500 yrds or more but if you are hunting I wouldn't push it past 60 yards. On film I this year I took a nice buck at 72 yards. Spined him right in the neck but the shot was under ideal conditions.
I have a cousin that shot a deer at 112 yards with his bow and that is the longest I have heard of. Generally, archery shots are 60 yards and under for the average hunter. Not sure about target shooters. and to add i know for a fact and with one witness my dad shot a mule deer at 80 yrds that was on a run! so for the farthest shot who knows but you can if you are good make long range shots with a bow this was done with a browning black night compound bow 65 lbs pull. if you remember the type in the Rambo movie? this is that bow i got one and he got one as they was on sale and cheap in the 80's ! since we are just simple plain old lumberjacks the high dollar bows was not an option for us back then lol! back then it cost like $225 new in the box and the old wasp lock ring razor broadhead. neck shot and it dropped in its tracks.....
126 square yards.
Well if you want to enter the olympics, you will have to learn to shoot recurve. Once you have done this and got to the standard that applies to you (example, adult- shoot 80/100 yards, junior shoot the relevant distance). Then start entering competitions and getting yourself known to judges, coaches and generally important people. Once you have done this start entering the 'status' shoots as here it will be that your regonized for what you are doing.
A CFL end zone is 20 yards from goal line to dead line and 65 yards wide.
Yes. I shot an arrow through my panel fence from about 40 yards easily
all destroyed in scrap yards
2,047 yards Just over 1 mile. Arrow was shot by the late Henry Drake in 1988 using a crossbow.
The longest documented shot on YouTube is 322 yards, or ~294.43 meters. This was a test for an accurate shot where he shot a 9-inch balloon. A crossbow can definitely shoot further, but accuracy becomes a problem. If you were standing on flat terrain and shot up at a 45 degree angle, my guess is that most crossbows won't get much further than 400 yards(365.76 meters)
100 yards is 100 yards long. If you would like it converted to another unit of measurement, please specify.
40 to 45 yards IF and only if you have PRACTICED ahead of time for accuracy at those yardages. It wouldn't do you any good to shoot that far if you havene't practiced.
While arrow may travel a significant distance (maybe several hundred yards if fired at an upwards angle), most hunting bows only deliver sufficient power to ensure a clean and humane kill for approx 35-50 yards depending on the bow, arrow, conditions, target animal, and shooter.
within 100 yards
100 yards
A longbow could shoot arrows up to 250 yards, depending on the skill of the archer and the type of arrow used.
300 yards from one goal line to the other...then another 60 yards in end field space. Your answer could be 300 yards or 360 yards.300 yards because once football field is 100 yards long.
There are not enough measurements to calculate square yards. It would need to be 7500 by (another measurement) to calculate.
