A jockstrap definitely isn't as comfortable as boxers, or most other types of underwear. It's made to support your penis and testicles, kind of like the equivalent of a sports bra for a guy, so it's made to fit very tightly. Once you have it on and get used to it, it's not too bad though, and it feels good and secure, better than bouncing around.
On your left shoulder, and comfortable enough for you to handle and play.
Jock: "Hi." sandy: "Hi." Jock: "How are you?" Sandy: "Fine."
They used a device mounted to their guitars. The product name is "Spins". It is a rotary electrical contact and strap mount. A hole is bored in the back of the guitar at the balancing point and the device is mounted there. If you observe closely, you will see that the strap goes over their RIGHT shoulder, not the left, and that the strap is not attached to the guitar at the traditional strap lug points. This is actually a far more comfortable way to hold the instrument.I do not know if the company still manufactures this product.
In the briefs Cups are made to be worn in the jock they come with, put the cup in the jock pouch then that should be the first thing you wear, so against the skin...A few cups now have brief type supporters, I like these best. The Orignal Banana Cup comes in one and its very comfortable, I think i got it at lockergear.com My hockey jock says to make sure you wear a jock under your cup, so I end up wearing 2 jocks, one for the cup, and one to hold my stuff inside the cup which is sort of uncomfortable, but at least everything stays in one place and nothing hangs out to get racked I like to wear my jock on my skin i think it does a better job on protecting my balls
It is possible to fit the guitar strap to it if it has a strap peg. The strap may or may not be too long, however. If your guitar or ukelale does not have a top strap peg, like me, then you can tie a long string or strap behind the strings, above the nut. I reccomend using a wider strap to prevent it from cutting into your shoulder.

It's a little bit uncomfortable at first to wear a jock strap, especially if you're not used to it. But it feels better to have good support when you run, and to not worry about getting hit down there.
