If you practice every day to learn a good amount of songs, and have a good teacher, or good reference, then you can learn it in about 1year and not sound horrible.
One could advance from beginner to intermediate in 9 months. Depends upon the desire, practice, study and and advanced help one receives. Some people take longer. Learn to listen to yourself and others around you when you play. Learn to play in tune and with musical rhythm. That is how you grow and become a better player.
i am 12 years old and level four at piano, it took me a week to learn it off by heart.
Anyone can play the guitar if they take lessons. Anyone can learn to play the guitar if they practice outside of the lessons.
this can vary based on a wide variety of events, if you are in a school band, or have a private teacher, were playing is instructed and professional, you will learn faster... there is no set level of experience required to officially be considered, as having learned to play, my philosophy is, the second you play your first song you play saxophone, don't let this go to your head though, just because you "play" doesn't mean your any good... I've been playing for 5 years.. and as far as i have gone, (believe me, you have no idea) theres always that window in front of you that you can get better to pass through even the best players of all time could be infinitely better... there is no limit, and so there is no set time
It depends how long you practice every day
20 minutes
it takes about 3 1/2 years for a squash to grow

You can always take lessons.
it can take for up to 2 weeks in bad conditions but usually you can start to see it after 1 week
Not long. They had to have a new play fully rehearsed and stage ready in two weeks, rehearsing mornings and playing in the afternoons.
