She was an American, and ran a 10.49 with 0.0 wind speeds! Sadly, she died at the age of 38 in September of 1998. The cause of death is controversial, but the widely accepted cause of death is from asphyxiation (suffocation) during the early morning (around 4 am) due to an epileptic seizure.
