According to wikipedia, Terry Fox attended Mary Hill Junior High School in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, then Port Coquitlam Senior Secondary. The latter school was renamed to Terry Fox Senior Secondary School and then the 'Senior' was dropped from the school name when the school district reorganised its school system.

Terry Fox, genuine and much loved Canadian hero, Companion of the Order of Canada, cancer activist, and most famous Canadian of the twentieth century, attended Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia, where he studied kinesiology.

Before his untimely death from bone cancer in 1981, Fox founded the Marathon of Hope, which to this day annually raises money for cancer research.
