Bill Walsh (1931-2007) was the coach of the NFL's San Francisco 49ers from the 1979-1988 seasons. He was twice named NFL Coach of the Year (1981, 1984) and coached the 49ers to their first three Super Bowl victories (1982, 1985, 1989)
