I was just looking for some photos for a dear friend who played on the 1989 team. Any information that could help me to locate some would be great!

Yes and No. He never played a game for Indiana University, but he was on the roster for 24 days before transferring to Indiana State University where he later led the team to the National Championship game against Magic Johnson-led Michigan State. He left because he was homesick and overwhelmed by the size of the school.
The roster for the Indianapolis Colts can be seen on the NFL webpage--please see related links below.
In the MLB there are 25 players on a team. If you want to make it as realistic as possible you should that. But if you like a challenge you could do a 40 man roster. Another problem is that you need to know how many players you need per position. If you decided to do a 25 man roster I recommend one catcher, 2 first basemen (because that is the most plentiful position in all of baseball), 1 second basemen, 1 shortstop, 1 first base/third base, 5 outfielders, 3 bench players (either batter or pitcher), and 11 pitchers. For a 40 man roster i recommend 2 catchers, 3 first basemen, 2 second basemen, 2 shortstops, 1 second base/shortstop, 1 third base/first base, 7 outfielders, 6 bench players, and 16 pitchers
