Another problem is that you need to know how many players you need per position. If you decided to do a 25 man roster I recommend one catcher, 2 first basemen (because that is the most plentiful position in all of Baseball), 1 second basemen, 1 shortstop, 1 first base/third base, 5 outfielders, 3 bench players (either batter or pitcher), and 11 pitchers.
For a 40 man roster i recommend 2 catchers, 3 first basemen, 2 second basemen, 2 shortstops, 1 second base/shortstop, 1 third base/first base, 7 outfielders, 6 bench players, and 16 pitchers
