No, you don't. I had plenty of jobs in high school and never once played an organized sport. However, if you want to work at a sporting goods store or something along those lines, I can see where it would help. Playing sports might also show a hiring manager that you work well with others and can take orders well. As I said, though, you should easily be able to get a job if you show a willingness to work and are available at the hours that the hiring manager needs you.
