Bolshevik revolution in Russia (1918) was the main event that triggered a slide in US-Russia relations. USA did not approve of Bolshevism and upon the start of the revolution participated in Allied Intervention in the Russian Civil War. USA also supported anti-Bolshevik white forces in the Russia as well as Czechoslovakian legion in their fight. A wave of anti-communism riots broke out in mainland USA and a crackdown was initiated against radical communist elements specially present in labor unions across the country.
