A Table Tennis coach is unlikely to measure players' speed because the sport emphasizes technique, reflexes, and tactical awareness over raw speed. Player performance is often assessed through skill drills and match play rather than timed sprints. Additionally, table tennis involves quick, short bursts of movement rather than sustained sprinting, making speed measurements less relevant. Coaches typically focus on developing players' agility and reaction times, which are more crucial for success in the game.

Although the WTA allows players to call their coach once a set during a changeover, with the exception of the Grand Slams, tennis players are not allowed to be coached in the ATP tour or in other tournaments. I am the person who asked this question.. i live in Alabama and i need to know the rule about cutting players...... I am in a conflict at school where i am like 99% sure im right about how at the 5 day evaluation you are not able to cut players.. and that the only time you can cut players is after tryouts.. AND that it is NOT ok for a coach to tell somebody that they WOULD NOT get cut from the team AFTER EVALUATIONS but yet, after evaluations, he cuts her.. and the reason the coach cut this player is because her ACADEMICS were of a higher standard.. therefore she didnt need to play tennis.. im need to know about all of this
No, tennis coaches cannot effectively coach from the stands during a match as they are not allowed to communicate with the player during play.
