As of my last update in October 2023, Usain Bolt's world record in the men's 100 meters, set at 9.58 seconds in 2009, has not been broken. Bolt remains the holder of both the 100 meters and 200 meters world records. If there have been any developments or new records set after that date, I would not be aware of them.
It's 19.32 by American Michael Johnson, soon to be broken by Usain Bolt of Jamaica 8/16/2008. The record of 19.32s has been successfully broken by Usain Bolt on 18 August 2008 on the Beijing Olympics 2008 at 19.30s. Usain Bolt lowered his own time in 19.30 to 19.19 in 2009.
